The online child pornography reporting hotline operated by the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has now processed more than 200,000 reports.

ASACP’s online CP reporting hotline fields thousands of reports each month, from web surfers who encounter illegal images of child sexual abuse and exploitation on the Internet. The ASACP hotline is easy to find, since queries for terms like “report child pornography” inevitably find ASACP’s website ranked high among search engine results. This is in part due to the many ASACP member sites that link back to www.asacp.org.

ASACP investigates these “raw” reports to determine the hosting, billing, IP address, ownership, and linkage of suspected CP sites. Red Flag reports are then automatically forwarded to domestic and international agencies and groups such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).

ASACP Compliance Director Tim Henning oversees the hotline, and has been with ASACP almost since its inception in 1996. According to Henning, the hotline originally received only 10 to 15 reports per day. “Back then all submissions received hand-typed responses,” he said. “Validated reports were emailed to the authorities. But then as ASACP gained more and more exposure and support from adult companies, the number of sites linking to the hotline increased rapidly – and so did the volume of incoming reports. Today we’re also able to track and document hotline trends and statistics automatically, which means we can identify new scams and tactics used by CP operators.”

Ohio Senate Bill 16 is going to the House on Monday after passing in the senate. This bill will put Ohio adult club and bookstore owners out of business (6ft. Rule, hours of op, no tipping, no performances after midnight etc.). It will also give the Citizens for Community Values ( www.ccv.org ) a money-making war path to a state near you. They are giddy that if successful, they can use the Ohio model to move across the nation and close down adult entertainment one state at a time. This is serious.

Please keep your comments professional and nice. It isn’t the legislators who want this…they are capitulating out of fear that the CCV will run ads against them for being soft on porn as they have threatened to do in the past.

In the past 18 months we have seen a growing trend of sponsor programs bundling some or all of their sites into one membership package. It began by offering “Bonus Sites” on the join page. More recently, a growing number of sponsors have created a separate site dedicated to promoting a collection of their venues for one low monthly membership fee.

While this is not comprehensive, here are some good examples:

This week Big Cash Society announced they are bundling 4 of their sites for $29.95 a month. The offer is on the join page of each site, and they have also created Multi-Site Pass, a special page to make it easier for webmasters to promote the offering.

Last week PrideBucks announced 1 Gay Pass, their new site dedicated to promoting a packaged membership to all five of their properties.

This week, Rainbow Revenue launched Gay Multi Pass, a collection of 15 gay niche sites and a one dollar 3 day trail. With a package like that it’s going to be very difficult for the consumer to hit the back button.

The twink Asian niche sponsor ZbuckZ recently bundled their three sites - Japan Boyz, Gay Asian Amateurs, and Asian Boykakke. At the moment their offering is just on the join pages, but with at least 3 new sites rumored to be under development it’s likely they too will follow the trend and launch a dedicated site.

Last year Intense Cash launched Bonus Boy Sites, bundling 4 of their twink, collage boy, straight boy, amateur, and reality sites. The combo includes their award winning Broke Straight boys.

Hunk Money has added a small bonus collection on the join pages of some of their sites. More noteworthy, the sponsor took a slightly different tactic and combined the content of their 13 sites into one big mega site Gay Key.

Obviously this movement is intended to boost conversions and retention, and word from the field is its working. But I have to wonder if this new trend is going to change the expectations of the consumer. How will it impact sales and retention for those sponsors that do not offer a package deal?

SexBankRoll is paying webmasters 60 bucks a sign up for His First Gay Fuck, during the month of April. Seven other straight porn sites are included in this promotion. Affiliates need to log in and grab a special link code, if they want to receive the higher payout.
