The producers of the popular Thai Twink DVD series have just launched Hapi Cash, their new affiliate program with two properties, and more in the works, including she male, bisexual and straight (women) sites.

Affiliates of the NATS powered program can promote the all new Thai Twink gay Asian porn site, and the Thai Twink DVD Store. Webmasters receive the standard 50% on all sales and rebills for joins at the new Thai Twink pay site, and 20% on DVD sales. Hapi Cash also pays 5% on all referred webmaster sales.

The new Thai Twink pay site is well designed and, depending on how you look at it, leak free. While the site tour does link to their DVD store, webmasters get credit for any sales. There is a hosted blog under development, also integrated into the site tour. The sponsor states webmsters will get credit for sales from the blog when it’s completed.

It is totally understandable they decided to hold onto the Thai Twink brand when naming their new venue, but this really isn’t a Twink Asian site, as most boys look to be in their mid 20’s to 30 years old. That said the guys are very good looking!

The exclusive photo and video content is sparse, and supplemented with licensed materials we’ve seen at most of the existing gay Asian sites. A large percentage of their exclusive content looks studio shot, a turn off for consumers, in my opinion.

As of this writing, there are no banners and only one free hosted photo gallery available for promoting the new pay site. There are plenty of banners for promoting the DVD store, however.

Unfortunately The Thai Twink DVD Store is riddled with traffic leaks - mailing list, phone number, order off-line, and AEBN VOD theatre. Hapi Cash says a leak free version of the store is in the works, but I got the impression this was not going to happen in the near future.

I am disappointed they decided to link to the store from the pay site tour, before cleaning up the leaks. When you consider the new site is unlikely to retain well, until they get more original content added, linking to a leaky store probably wasn’t the smartest move on their part.

As for the store itself, I don’t see any value in promoting it directly until the leaks have been removed. As a recipient of their consumer newsletter, I can confirm they are using it to promote the pay site.

Today the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals in Cleveland struck down 18 U.S.C. 2257 on its face as unconstitutional. At this early stage, it appears that the decision in this case that began 12 years ago is a solid one. Our industry owes a great deal of gratitude to the incredible work of attorney Mike Murray and the courage and tenacity of the plaintiffs Rondee Kamins as well as the unnamed plaintiffs. Thank you.

Within the next few days, FSC will provide a more detailed analysis of the decision, the FSC legal team’s responses to “Frequently Asked Questions,” and an outline of possible next step scenarios. In the meantime, FSC, acting in its role as the industry trade association, will continue to keep members informed about this and other important developments affecting the industry nationally.

Sponsored by GAYeLINE, a gay adult magazine publisher in Europe, the DAVID Awards were initially considered to be the European equivalent of the GAYVN Awards in the United States. The awards show was held in Berlin on Friday October 19th, 2007. Due to a last minute illness, Cam was not able to attend the award ceremony, but his business partner and Titan Media Vice President Keith Webb was in attendance on his behalf.

“I cannot in good conscience accept a Lifetime Achievement award from an organization that glorifies and promotes bareback content alongside my own,” says Bruce Cam, President and CEO of Titan Media. “I have worked my entire adult industry career to promote and eroticize safer sex content in all of my films. It would be against every single fiber of my moral being to accept this award. Silence is acceptance and I can no longer sit by and watch the industry where I have worked and helped shape be destroyed by others seeking financial gain at the expense of performers and the entire gay community. I cannot and will not accept this award as it is tainted with the blood of others.”

In 2006, TitanMen won the DAVID Award for “Best American Studio”. In addition, TitanMen exclusive models François Sagat and Spencer Quest were awarded ‘Best European Actor’ and ‘Best Non-European Actor’ respectively. 2006 was the first year the awards were held, and at that time bareback films were excluded from consideration, citing the same standards as the GAYVN awards. It appears that this year’s list of nominees were kept from Titan Media and other nominated studios in an apparent attempt to conceal the amount of bareback films and studios being nominated. Had Titan Media been informed of the fact that the vast majority of the nominees were bareback we would not have supported or attended the event.

We tried to communicate this while we were at the stage, but they took away our microphone. We gave back our award and didn’t take it. We are more than happy that also Titan refused to accept their award.”

“We were truly shocked and appalled by the overwhelming amount of low end and poorly produced bareback films being honored at the awards,” says Keith Webb, Vice-President of Titan Media. “When it became known to the producers of the awards show that I was going to refuse the award on Bruce’s behalf, the award was pulled and I was refused access to the stage. Abostonboy tells me the primary focus of his new project will be publishing tutorials of interest to his targeted readers. In its short life the Gay WebMastering Blog already has a good collection of these interesting reads and the veteran adult webmaster continues to crank more out each week.

If you are in the on-line adult business, I highly recommend placing the Gay WebMastering Blog on your weekly must read list. I don’t mind admitting he’s taught this old dog a few new tricks.

COLT Studio Group and Maleflixxx have announced the two companies will jointly develop and implement a distribution strategy for COLT Studio Group’s content in the fast growing digital marketplace. Mike Hancock puts out a weekly webmaster newsletter, which includes some great fresh promotional materials. At the top of each mailing is a rather lengthy solicitation for suggestions on how he can improve things for webmasters, so they can make better sales. Here are a couple of notable clips from that solicitation…

At the bottom of every page, in his site tour, is a prominent banner linking to his self serving links directory, hosted on a separate domain. He also has links to his My Space blog, and video store, in the top menu bar of the tour. The only leaks he hasn’t thought to include are multiple processors and a mailing list!

On top of that, he has the following statement on his affiliate recruitment page…

No pop-ups.
Your traffic will never be redirected to another website. All traffic you send to Mike Hancock will stay here, so you earn a commission.

True…he does not use pop-ups. Other than that, this statement to potential affiliate webmasters is completely false!

Mike can’t play dumb, claiming he was unaware of these issues. Several months ago I had a lengthy Email discussion with him about it. Yet nothing has changed.

This week IntenseCash announced webmasters can test their system to make sure the sponsor is not shaving. Webmasters can purchase a membership using a specified Email address (or their own address), check their stats to see the sale was credited, and then request a refund from IntenseCash. At this time IntenseCash is limiting this test to once every two months.

While most webmasters already know IntenseCash has an impeccable reputation, and a test of their system is not even necessary, it’s a good gesture on their part.
