Do you work in the adult entertainment industry? Are you up to something shitty? Do you make a living by doing dishonest, shitty or evil things to your business partners, affiliates or customers? If this sounds like you, guess what: you can kiss a turd!

It’s the lead in on the new KAT blog established by Keith Kimmel, best known for his junk yard dog attack on the NATS security scandal. I’ve always admired individuals willing to shake a few cages from time-to-time, provided the accusations can be substantiated, and I’m not suggesting his cannot.

That said, I think Mr. Kimmel forgets, or perhaps is unaware, that any PR is good PR, and in many cases his attacks are probably of more benefit than harm to his targeted victims. A favorite tactic of some sponsors, active over at GFY, is to intentionally have someone attack their program, with very positive results.

While many have suggested the KAT author has serious mental health issues, my take is he’s more of a dogmatist or zealot. This is a trait many in the “watchdog” biz share, although I’d like to think, in my case, its less dominant…perhaps not. It is, after all, a characteristic better identified from across the room than while gazing into a mirror.

Despite his tendency to overindulge in sensationalism or hype, I do think the man deserves a voice. We all have the option of changing channels when the programming is not to our liking. On the flip side, I think Mr. Kimmel needs to be more accepting of the bumps and bruises inherent with jousting. Everyone knows why he really got banned at GMS, and his reaction to it paints a picture of an individual far less savvy than he would have us believe.

As for the “KAT Approved Resources” link to In Gay Porn, I am appreciative. I do, however, find it ironic considering his rather vocal dislike for Intense Cash and GMS.

Gay Stud List is the latest gay porn links directory to enter the market, and is taking submissions for free sites, adult services, AVS, product and/or pay sites, directories, and porn blogs. Blogs can submit with text reciprocal links. There is a 10 site limit for listings free of charge, a policy I suspect will soon be lifted as the directory is too new and needs all the submissions they can get. I did not check all the categories, but a quick look suggests most, if not all, of the current listings are for membership sites and other links directories.

Gay Porn Pig, a popular gay porn portal, has announced the elimination of over 500 links to bareback sex sites from its links directory. All pay site and video reviews of bareback sex content were also removed, along with several dozen blog posts. “The gay online porn community needs a stronger voice to teach younger gay men how to protect themselves without sacrificing hot sex,” says Michael Kealy, Gay Porn Pig’s owner and operator. “Gay youth needs to get this message before it’s too late.”

Kealy is concerned that a whole generation of young gay men have never seen first-hand the effects of HIV and AIDS on our community. And these same men are getting the message through bareback porn that fucking without condoms is okay.

Gay Porn Pig’s initiative is aimed at steering visitors towards alternatives to bareback porn. The gay porn portal has already added a resource section to its directory providing surfers with access to AIDS service organizations online. A more detailed information and resource section is planned for the site in the spring of 2008.

“It’s time to become more personally involved in the fight,” says Kealy. “I’m saddened that many of us are putting profits ahead of caring for our community. And I can no longer do it,” Kealy adds.

Today Jeremy Roddick announced the launch of his completely redesigned web site. Jeremy says, “My new site has tons of new features that I am sure will help your conversion.” The upgraded site now offers much larger videos as well as the option to download each movie. In addition, the movies are now both PC and MAC friendly.

As of this writing, the new tour is leak free, but a place holder for an alternate processor can be found on the join page. He’s also added a blog that could evolve into a leak. For now, it’s more of a “what’s new” page. I’m a bit disappointed he didn’t go the extra mile and make it a hosted blog and RSS feed, a promotional tool affiliates are hungry for.

I really think this program has the potential to be very attractive with webmasters, and it probably will if Jeremy can learn to resist temptations to skim from his affiliates.

The Garden of Adam is a new pay site designed to attract women consumers wanting to look at pictures of naked men. The site is best described as a softcore male erotic art venue, featuring mostly masculine straight and bisexual men. If you have been wanting to target woman consumers, The Garden of Adam might be just what you’ve been looking for.

The CCBill powered site pays the standard 50% on all sales and rebills, plus 5% on webmaster referrals. Promotional materials include a small collection of banners, three FHGs, and a POD. Unfortunately the site tour is not leak free, as it has a mailing list signup option, and some external recip. links.

Gay Gravy has just announced their acquisition of the popular Adult Entertainment Network Pride Access. To kick things off, this Sunday (January 20th 2008) participating webmasters can pick up $75 PPS on all sales made at 5 selected sites from the Network….

I just got another announcement from Boy Ride, this time the focus is on their “renewed dedication” to their affiliates. The announcement is lengthy, yet vague and a little confusing.

Apparently they are working on a new full service affiliate site that will consolidate webmaster access for viewing financials and will improve access to all their promotional tools. New tools are planned, such as hosted galleries and unique entry pages. After reviewing the site tour, unique entry pages is probably a good idea.

They have disabled the CCBill fee split, giving webmasters the full 50% of the transaction. The sponsor has also bumped the CCBill cookie to 15 days. Future plans are to offer bonus level tiered payouts and a webmaster referral program.

The previously announced Boy Ride V2 is actually a work in progress. The awful font they were using has mostly been replaced with something readable. When you click enter from the warning page, you get another warning page. From the second warning page you get a page detailing the different membership packages. In the side bar of that page are links to various site tour options.

The video store and VOD leaks have been removed from the tour, but language on the site states they are being revamped and will return. The blog, as it looks today, is more like a “what’s new” page and has little risk of being bookmarked by surfers, so it’s not a traffic leak.

Apparently they did make changes to the member area as the sponsor is claiming the modifications have increased member retention. No such claims have been made for initial sales. Not surprising when the first thing you see, after two warning pages, is the price list.

The guys over at Boy Dollars recently launched a new gay porn links directory and search engine. Gay Link Search doesn’t have a lot of traffic yet, but their submission process is smooth and timely.

Lucas Kazan has announced webmasters that send 50 joins to between Jan 11th and Feb 11th will receive a $200 bonus. Those that send 80 joins will receive a $500 bonus.

On another note, the Lucas Kazan affiliate tour is now mostly leak free. They still have pay by check and telephone options on the join page that are not tied to their CCBill affiliate program, but its a great improvement over the leak riddled tour they had before!

Big Cash Society has announced they have increased pay outs for their popular Zeb Atlus site from 25% to 50%. The Zeb Atlus member’s area has also been updated to include 640×480 full screen videos and live cam shows. The 640×480 videos are streams, but affiliates will continue to receive commission for video download sales from within the member’s area. According to the sponsor, these additions to the regular membership were done to guarantee an increase in retention.
