I don’t remember the exact date, but about a year ago I noticed William Higgins had switched to multiple processors without cascading billing, and did so without notifying his affiliates. Yesterday I got an Email from him announcing he has dropped Verotel in favor of PaycomEU.net/Epoch.com. As part of this switch, he no longer uses multiple processors, but now all Verotel affiliates will need to sign up with Epoch and change out their referring links.

While he is now operating with only one processor, William Higgins is by no means leak free. His tour links to a video store, VOD, a variety of up sell links, and a mailing list sign up. If skimming affiliate traffic wasn’t enough, he’s only willing to pay a measly 43 % of all new signups and recurring revenues, minus credit card processing fees, charge backs and credits.

This is typical Eastern European mentality, and why I stopped promoting him a long time ago.

The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has created a public service announcement (PSA) featuring Stormy Daniels for the RTA (”Restricted to Adults”) website label.

The new video which is available for viewing on YouTube.com and on ASACP’s MySpace Page features Daniels discussing the RTA website label and encouraging parents to use parental filtering software. The one minute video is the first in what will become an ongoing series of PSAs. ASACP urges all of its supporters to help spread the word about adopting the RTA website label by featuring the PSA on their websites.

A video that ASACP produced last summer featuring highlights from a press conference announcing RTA has been viewed over 100,000 times on YouTube. While that video was only available for viewing on the internet, plans are being made to make ASACP’s PSA series available in formats that can be used on cable networks and on DVDs.

ASACP encourages anyone who has not adopted the RTA label to do such. RTA was developed out of a need for an easy to use and internationally recognized label that designates content for adults only. The RTA label is a unique string of “meta data” which can easily be inserted into the computer code of any website. Yesterday IntenseCash made a limited announcement that they have completed the acquisition of AlleyBucks, a sponsor program comprised of four gay porn web sites.

A brief announcement went out to existing AlleyBucks affiliate webmasters. Members of the sponsor’s Gay Main Street webmaster forum were also notified, and given an “early bird” access to linking codes for promoting the newly acquired properties. As of this writing, no announcement has gone out to all IntenseCash affiliates. Despite what has been posted at Gay Main Street, ALL IntenseCash affiliates can get access to the new linking codes by sending the sponsor an Email request.

At this time, linking codes are for PPS only, and it is not clear if a rev-share option will be added in the future. All of the acquired sites now have new tours, and promotional materials (banners and FHGs) will be available shortly.

AlleyBucks affiliates are encouraged to switch out their old CCBill links with the new IntenseCash URLs, but the sponsor assures all old tour and FHG links will continue to work indefinitely.

Prior to the acquisition, IntenseCash had 15 gay porn venues, including the very popular Broke Straight Boys and College Boy Physicals. The Gay Main Street forum was also part of the now completed AlleyBucks acquisition.

Late last year, Dirty Tony started sending his affiliates weekly Emails with a link to the latest Free Hosted Gallery. The link in these mailings already included the affiliate’s CCBill ID, so all you had to do was copy and paste. In late January, 2008 that changed, when the affiliate’s CCBill ID suddenly disappeared from the provided gallery link.

Based on my Email archives, I was able to determine that beginning with the mailing on January 25, 2008, the affiliate’s CCBill ID was no longer included in the provided gallery URL. Changes to the format of the mailings were made on February 15 and March 14 of 2008, but the gallery link was not fixed. A link to the Dirty Tony tour was added as part of the format change in March and it too is missing the webmaster’s ID.

The language preceding the links has always clearly indicated the URL is formatted with the webmaster’s ID, so there would be no reason to suspect any change, and unless you are looking closely the missing ID is easily overlooked. Obviously it has been, because by my count, the last 10 mailings are missing the webmaster’s CCBill ID. Surly, the problem would have been fixed by now, had another affiliate caught it, but apparently none have. To make things worse, the missing ID does not break the link, so the problem will not be noticed during tasting.

I’m not suggesting this was intentional, but it seems odd Dirty Tony didn’t notice all the non affiliate sales coming in from web sites he doesn’t control. Who knows…maybe he doesn’t look at his stats that closely.
