Everyone is a Mind Reader These Days

Lately I’ve noticed a trend with sponsor text descriptions that really annoys me. I’ve never been a fan of telling consumers what they want or how they will respond to it. So when I see text informing surfers they are going cum while watching a particular video it makes me want to scream. How can you possibly know what the reaction will be from everyone that watches your video?
This and the ever popular blab bla bal…JUST THE WAY YOU LIKE IT statements may work with the straight boys, but I’d like to think gay consumers are a bit more sophisticated. I personally do my best to avoid insulting the intelligence of people I’m trying to sell something to.
Tell them how much YOU liked it, and that it’s just what YOU like to see in a gay porn flick, but don’t presume to know what hits each individual’s hot button. You run the risk of loosing credibility by trying to inform people of something they know you can not possibly conclude about them.

Great post. So true, and yet something a lot of people just don’t know. Hopefully a lot of folks will see this and learn from it. Coming from a person like myself who has tried everything under the sun - as long as it’s legal and not spam - to promote gay porn, telling others what they’ll love and what they won’t love is just asking for a huge Bounce Rate. Let them make the decisions for themselves.
