Bonobo Cash Leak Update

Bonobo Cash just announced webmasters will now get credit for any sales made from their consumer newsletters. I’ll stop short of saying no one else in the business is doing this, but I’ve never seen it. Considering Bonobo Cash has, and continues to, demonstrated a preference for skimming webmaster traffic, I’d prefer to see a technical explanation as to how sales are being tracked, before getting too excited about this announcement.
A quick look at their three sites reveals the following…
The Squirtz tour no longer has a link to their AWE Camera Boys white label site. This makes the site tour leak free, provided their new claim about the mailing list can be confirmed.
The Jeremy Roddick tour no longer has the popunder, but the links page promoting other sponsor sites and blog are still there.
Video Boys continues to promote a DVD store with a prominent link in the top menu bar.
With the lack of credibility this sponsor has earned in my book, and only a partial effort made to clean up their site tours, I remain skeptical of their claim webmasters will get credit for sales made through the mailing lists. People can say anything in this business and others are quick to accept it, but I prefer to rely on the time tested belief that actions speak louder than words.
