Badpuppy has announced they are offering all of their Dog Gone Video affiliates a 50% commission, for the life of the payout.  The new Spring Promotional offer runs from March 1st through May 31st, 2010.

Webmasters that refer new customers during the promotion period, who make at least 1 purchase, will be paid 50% on all purchases made by that customer during the promotion.   Webmasters will also receive 50% on all future purchases made by the newly referred customer.

Promotional materials include banners, custom theatres, TGP / MGP galleries, as well as daily self updating widgets with the newest titles, as they are made available on Dog Gone Video.

The affiliate cookie expiration has been extended from 30 days to 90 days, ensuring affiliates who take advantage of the Spring Promo will be rewarded the 50% commissions.

Panorama Pacific Ltd., umbrella company for the zBUCKz affiliate program, has just announced their acquisition of the InsanePay Affiliate program, it’s associated websites, content and marketing materials.

The purchase includes Boys From Prague, an already established European Twink site, as well as a Latin Twink venue which is still under development.  Company Director Daniel Kaufman (DannyZ) reports they currently have producers filming exclusive high definition content for Boys From Prague.

InsanePay will be operated as a separate company from zBUCKz and powered by CCBill, with payouts at 50% for all sales and rebills, or $30 PPS. In addition, zBUCKz has announced they are bringing on former InsanePay owner, Simon Fornara, to continue with the company as Affiliate Manager.

The program was originally powered by NATS, so any existing affiliates will need to sign up again at the new InsanePay web site, and change out their old NATS with the new CCBill links.  Webmasters that were promoting Boys From Prague under the old NATS program will get paid any commissions owed.

DannyZ promises a huge array of affiliate tools will soon be available for webmasters wishing to promote Boys From Prague.  Promotional materials will include embedded videos, RSS Feeds, hosted blogs, FHG’s, MGP’s and more.

If you have been following the two popular gay adult industry webmaster forums, its old news BukBuddies, and sister site HornyHounDogs, has been sold to SOBV, aka Gay Gravy and Gay Pay.  At least that’s the conclusion everyone has drawn, based on a few key observations.

The sponsor program originally used by these two sites was, and still is, CCBill.  I say this, because the sites’ affiliate join pages continue to use CCBill.  However, the membership join pages are now using NATS.  While programs can migrate to NATS and set things up so their old CCBill links still work, there has apparently been no attempt to notify existing affiliates of any change.  Thus, old CCBill links may, or may not, be crediting the referring webmasters for any sales.  We simply don’t know, because there has been no official statement from either the original or alleged new owners.

Another indicator is the “presumed” recent addition of a nasty pop up promoting Gay Gravy sites.  However, the most convincing evidence SOBV has purchased these two sites comes from a report by a prominent and well respected webmaster.  The webmaster states that when he contacted BukBuddies about this they would only refer him to a SOBV support Email address.

Best I can determine, public discussion of this began on Friday the 22nd.  So it is reasonable to assume both SOBV and CCBill may not be aware of the negative dialog.  History has shown both companies monitor the forums and respond when they are the topic of discussion, particularly when the context is pessimistic.  I am optimistic SOBV, and perhaps CCBill, will make a public statement on Monday.  We will just have to wait and see.

Despite any future comment by the concerned parties, it is clear to everyone this presumed sale to SOBV has been very poorly managed.  Assuming they are the new owners, SOBV’s questionable handling of this transition only adds credibility to past accusations of unethical business practices. One would assume, after all of the negative press this company has endured, they’d pay more attention to public relations, but apparently that’s not yet sunk in.

Silence on the part of the original owners could be justified if there are contractual restrictions.  That said, they have a history of siphoning off webmaster traffic through numerous site tour leaks, so it seems fairly obvious where they stand.

Lucas Kazan has just informed me their affiliate tour pages no longer feature the newsletter e-mail collection, nor the Facebook/Twitter links. He also assured me they won’t find their way back into the tour.  In addition, they are testing to make sure the debit card join option is cascading to CCBill.  Once they are confident all is working as it should they’ll add some clarification language to the webmaster page and send out a notification to existing affiliates.

Badpuppy, the oldest gay porn site on the Internet, has at long last brought their Puppy Cash affiliate program out of the dark ages.  In my opinion, the improvements they’ve made place them among the top five best gay porn affiliate programs in the industry, and they are still making improvements.

Over the past year or so we saw Badpuppy moving their affiliate program in a more competitive direction with higher rev-share payouts, PPS, an ePassporte payment option,  RSS feed, and biweekly newsletter. All of this was a prelude to launching the completely redesigned and upgraded Puppy Cash.  Most notable is the promotional tools section that offers a dedicated page for each update.  On that page you can get most anything a webmaster would want in the way of promotional materials.

Badpuppy has also made improvements to their biweekly newsletter.  It is more condensed, less repetitive, and sample images for the new model pages are larger so we can quickly identify what niche they best fit in.  I won’t let the “dog” out of the bag, but Lisa tells me other improvements for both newsletter and web site are in the works.

Of course, the folks at Badpuppy will be quick to tell anyone these improvements have been driven by webmaster feedback.  Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks?

Hunk Money Acquires British Bucks

As of 16 Dec 2009 Hunk Money’s parent company, Neostrata Ltd, acquired the British Bucks program, all its operations, paysites and marketing sites. It will now be fully owned, operated and managed by the Hunk Money team. According to Hunk Money, the acquisition of British Bucks gives them a catalog of very successful sites with excellent marketable content, which they intend to recast and rejuvenate. Today I received an Email form Dirty Tony, and I paraphrase, demanding I publish a retraction for the post I made on November 25.  He further demands that I refrain from making any more public statements of this nature, regarding his program.  In addition he insists I communicate with him privately about any new issues I may find with his affiliate program.

The Email goes on to state if I fail to comply with his demands by December 14 (today) my affiliate account, with his program, will be terminated. He further states that if terminated I can no longer publish any of his copyright protected graphics or promotional materials, or face legal action.

The reason why In Gay Porn has been so popular with webmasters over the years is I report on things like this when no other industry news service will.  Without In Gay Porn, and the webmaster forums, no one would know what is going on, be it good, bad or suspicious.  Of course, there are plenty out there that would prefer only the good, real or fantasy, be discussed.  There are also those that will do there best to stifle any open exchange that might expose things “best kept under cover”.

The mainstream business sector does not enjoy the luxury of censoring public scrutiny.  Why should it be any different with the adult industry?
