Up until about a week ago, the uniform niche gay porn site Male Corps was running an affiliate program that looked like they were intentionally trying to run webmasters off, but that’s all changed.
Previously the CCBill powered sponsor was paying 30% on all sales and rebills, further diluted by multiple processors without cascading billing. Now they are processing exclusively with CCBill, and payouts have been bumped to 60%. They have also added a 5% webmaster referral program and bonus thresholds.
The tour is leaky, with a link on the home page to their AEBN PPV store and exit consoles on the CCBill join pages, but a company representative informs me those are being removed.
The site tour is almost void of any sales pitch. When questioned about this approach I was told, “We saw a substantial increase in sales when we dropped the typical gay site format. We believe sales pitches no longer work, because of so many sites lying in their intro, hence somewhat traumatizing customers.”
Webmasters have at their disposal a fairly extensive selection of banners to promote Male Corps. At this time there are no plans to offer affiliates free hosted galleries or hosted embedded flash videos. However, they do allow some webmasters to use some of photos for marketing purposes - on a case by case basis. Apparently they’ve been plagued by copyright violations and are reluctant to do anything that might worsen the problem.
One thing that makes this site unique, according to a company representative, is all the content is shot by a bunch of X Special Forces guys. On top of that, a surprisingly large percentage of the guys on the site are military, including the Chief Security Officer of the parent company.
Assuming they get the leaks removed, and I have every reason to believe they will, the only complaint I have with Male Corps is their lack of promotional tools. That said, I still think Male Corps offers the best package for webmasters wanting to promote a uniform niche site.
