Shame on you Boy Dollars!

I was checking some things the other day and noticed my CCBill link to Boy Crash is now redirecting to the sponsor’s self serving blog. A little more research revealed Boy Crash has been pulled from the Boy Dollars suite of sites. Interestingly enough they still have banners up for the site, but the linking code has been removed for them. I’m not saying with absolute confidence the banners were left up to trick webmasters into thinking the site was still active, but it certainly crossed my mind.
I signed up with Boy Dollars back on January 4, 2007. While my Email archives do not go back that far, I see nothing from them about this as far back as August of 2007. I don’t know when the site was pulled, and I can’t say for sure they didn’t try to notify me of it, but its moot as far as I’m concerned. Redirecting a CCBill link to something other than one of their active sites speaks volumes, in my opinion. Other sponsor programs redirect to another one of their sites…Pride Bucks and Badpuppy are two I can think of as I’m write this.
My Email to Boy Crash concerning this was sent back on the 9th. As of this writing it has gone unanswered. I sent an Email to CCBill last night, and it too has received no reply. Perhaps they are trying to contact the sponsor, with about as much success as I’ve had. I’m not sure.
I won’t publish the referral link, but you can replicate it by tacking the following on to the end of another one of their links…
&HTML=http://www.boycrash.com
For me, this means I’ll have to keep an eye on this sponsor, and I don’t have time for that. There are so many sponsors out there that don’t play games with their webmasters, so why should I stay in bed with one that does?
